A Secondary or Slave Name Server shares the lookup requests with the Primary Name Server.
The Secondary Name Server stays up-to-date by periodically checking the Primary
Name Server to see whether anything has changed and, if so, requesting an update.
A lookup request will go first to the Primary Name Server and, if it is not available,
to the Secondary Name Server. If neither has the record the request will pass on to the
next authoritative server. A Secondary Name Server must be configured for a delegation
request to be accepted because a Primary alone is too unreliable.
